MENTORSHIP AND STUDENT COMPETITIONS

In 2018, I became a board member of The One Club Denver. That fall, we kicked-off the One-to-One College Mentorship Program, which I established and managed. Each semester, we matched about 25-30 students with professionals for them get an inkling of what the advertising/design business is all about.

I also helped to coordinate our Portfolio Review day with over 50 attendees and mentors.

And organized The Brief, where students from area schools worked on a live brief for a cash prize.

THE ONE CLUB - ANNUAL SHOW

In 2019, I was part of our Annual Show awards committee. I was in charge of sourcing the awards. And in doing so, retructured the awards and judging to better match the One Club’s One Show (which we weren’t at the time).

I worked with a number of partners and suppliers on the making of the awards, engraving the award plaques, tallying the votes, and hand filing (with the cuts and calluses to go along) the pointy tips of dozens of awards on the day of the show because some of them could have been used as medievil weapons. I also helped run the show, and handed out the awards on the night.
